SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
The movement itself is a hip hinge exercise where you bend at the waist and return to a standing position and is in the same category as compound movements such as the deadlift and squat. Doing the exercise in a smooth, controlled way will give your posterior chain an exceptionally good workout increasing strength and muscle mass.
Matt's Good Morning machine features both leg pads and a back pad which lock you into place and help to keep your spine in a neutral position throughout the movement. Simply, lower yourself forward and then drive your hips forward to return to your standing position.
You can opt to add weight plates to make the exercise more difficult or utilise the band pegs by using resistance bands.
