Formed from one solid piece of steel the squat ramp also known as a squat wedge or heel block is bent to form the perfect angle for front squatting
Equipped with grip tape to stick you to the plate there is no movement of the feet during the front squat
Front squatting is a great movement to aid in flexibility but issues with ankle and hamstring flexibility usually makes front squatting hard
Be sure to use a squat ramp to raise your heels and change the center of gravity making it easier to drop into the squat position
Elevating the heels to an incline position aids in flexibility and puts more emphasis on quad development while easing pressure on the back and knees
Rated to 250kg
Stand with your toes elevated to stretch our the hamstrings and calves before heavy lifting or use the upper section for calf raises
Optional upgrade to a reinforced squat ramp with a rating of 450kg
Adam 8 months ago had a full rupture in his Achilles whilst playing 1st team rugby causing him to be in a full cast, onto a boot then finally off crutches after a few months, he lost all flexibility in his ankle and loss of muscle in his leg….
After being off the crutches he was able to start walking/jogging and training again (under doctors orders) everything was going well until whilst doing a light deadlift his achillies went again
Finally now and on the mend, He is back training just accepting the he may have to turn his back on the squat UNTIL he had starting using the squat ramp which has allowed him to start building up his flexibility in his ankles
Worth the investment
We have 2 of these benches at our commercial gym plus the Kustom Kit flat benches You get the very best built bench out there which is by far a long way ahead of any other Heavy gauge steel makes it a safe bench for the biggest user incl the weights plus a nice change to be a decent width back pad. With commercial grade pads the thing is bullet proof and well worth the investment . If you only buy one bench make sure this is on your list
